Much in demand, newly designed production based & intensive course covering shooting & editing techniques, creating digital art & animation using Final Cut Pro HD, Adobe Photoshop, Livetype Toast Titanium & i/movie Chromakey. Suitable for new entrants & Digital Artists / Film-makers progressing in the Creative / New Media Sector. NVQ Level 3/4, 3 days, (Tues, Wed, Thurs), 9.30 to 5.00pm, part-time, under 16 hrs per week with award of 2 Unit Credits of City & Guilds 7501 National Diploma.

City & Guilds 7501 National Diploma in New Media Techniques – production based modular course of 6 separate & integrated units addressing all required aspects of professional audio / video/digital production & New Media practices. NVQ Level 3/4, 3 days, under 16 hrs per week Due to budget constraints, a voluntary contribution from participants is suggested to support matching the ESF, from £5 to £10 per week as appropriate. Thanks to the support of Lottery, European Social Fund, NW Vision + Media & WFA, we are offering 5 subsidised places to Deaf people on our 9 week New Media course as per details above. Application deadline 21st August, Interviews Wed 29th August’07
Also 5 places for Deaf people on our 5 days digital video production course which gives an introduction to tools & techniques from pre to post production with professional DV camcorders & Final Cut Pro software. Aims to update production practice as well as give a grounding to newcomers. A Q&A session with BSL Interpreter will be held at WFA on Wednesday 15th August 9.30 to 10.30 am for the 5 day course and 11.00 am to 1.00pm for the 9 week course for Deaf people wanting to understand the nature & details of the course prior to application.
